French Alcatel and US Lucent have started integrating their units and operations across India and South Asia following the global merger of the two companies. All five pre-existing entities under Alcatel and Lucent in India will be restructured, which will not impact previous agreements signed by either of the two companies. Wireless, broadband, enterprise, and submarine cable segments are to form the four key areas for Alcatel-Lucent in India, which will have a combined number of employees of 4,500.
